Hello all,

I know the question has been asked before, but I was hoping that someone knows of a tyre shop in East Herts / North Essex that can balance wide 5 wheels.

I tried a few places locally to me in Stortford but no joy.

Most can only do wheels with round holes in the middle.

One place with the biggest centre-less balancer I found will manage about 6 inches, which is a bit short of the 205mm PCD on the bus.

I'm considering buying an adapter to mount the wheels on a regular (hole-in-the-middle) balancer, but thought I'd get advice first.

Thanks,
Rob

Contact Retrocustom , I'm sure they could assist.

I've never bothered but it can be done.

Thanks for the tip. Baldock isn't too far - I'll give them a bell.

If you don't balance the wheels, doesn't it shake your teeth out above 40 mph?

I had a Golf that threw a wheel weight and that shook so much I thought the shock absorber had failed.

It was so bad I had to slow down...

I've never balanced mine an never had any shaking at all no matter what speed I go an the old bus can cruise above motorway speeds fr a bit 8)

Get one of these and you can get them balanced anywhere
