Hi Guys,
As it's wet up North and as i'm currenty finding rising puddles in my van it's time to replace them  . Can anyone recommend a supplier of some "quality fitting" seals please?? I had hears Schofileds were the the best fitting, again any imput on this would be appreciated.
Regards
CP

From my 'research' having asked this question, and heard it asked many times before, STATUS VW tend to be regarded as the best for seals,it was on this basis that I bought all my seals from them (although not yet fitted) however, others speak highly of CUSTOM & COMMERCIAL as well. I'm sure others will be reccommended!

Just got mine from custom and commercial got the OEM ones, have to say they fit ok but now doors are proud, hopeing they will bed in! :(

The rubber will take ages to compress. You could have bought cheap rubbish ones and they would have compressed quicker but then that defeats the point of changing them in the first place.

I replaced my sliding door rubber and had to move the striker plate to get the door to close properly at the back.

Hmmmmm think i have some serious door fiddling to do,....I've been in denial about it for a week now, i know its going to be a bloody nightmare!!!!!! ...... I'm gonna ask my mate to do it he owes me a favour, i fitted his lounge carpet for him the other week..... yay im happy again now :D :D :D

Just done the whole bus with Status seals.

Door rubbers come up tight as previously stated. I've moved all the door strikers in a bit after a week. Still a bit more to go.
The windows rubbers were superb. The westfalia rebuild kits are a bastard! Status' service was faultless.
Highly recommended and they beat everybody else on price for the full bus which was a bonus.

Looking at this topic with interest as will be needing to replace some seals this year. 'Status' seems to crop up in a positive way over and over again. Have only bought other stuff from them, but seem very well informed and helpfull. More feedback please.

my experience is get the best you can find, really regret not looking into this more when i refitted the entire set of deluxe window seals on mine

i got a set from karmann connection, who seemed to be the only place offering seals that fitted the deluxe trim, but the quarter lights in particular are shockingly bad, and leak water (or wind noise) like a bugger

will have to check out status when I'm feeling flush

ours came from JK and were not happy with the fit, whether thats our fault or the seals the jurys out at present.

update....after much fiddling, head scratching and swearing....I've managed to get the passenger side door to sit flush after installing the new rubbers!...I've given up on the drivers side for now, it wont play ball at the mo (twatting thing!!!!!).....so custom and commercial fit nice............. but be prepared to adjust your doors!
