Early Bay Gurus,

Our bus came with mismatched window winder handles, and I am trying to find a nice pair that actually works.

I have bought a couple of pairs where the female spline (on the handle) is not keyed long enough to mesh with the male (on the bus). They have had to be returned.

All of the items eBay lists appear to be the same (cheap Chinese) design that does not have a female end that is keyed sufficiently deeply.

Ideally I would like a pair that have chrome metal shafts and wooden knob and wooden base (I hope that makes sense), but black, or Wolfsburg, would also work for me. I don't want stock black plastic,

Price is less important than a pair that actually work!

Can anyone suggest where the bugger I can source these from, please?

Thanks,

Clean.

Have you had a look at mk2 escort window winders? Although not wooden, they break up the black plastic look a bit and are a bit more period looking than the majority of the aftermarket ones available.

OG choices are either the plain black plastic covered versions, or the deluxe versions with the chrome.

Repros are hit and miss quality wise. I have a couple of OG deluxe handles that are good - not mint - but og and that work.

80s ford ones fit a treat and are solid metal with a plastic inset, mine have been on for about 8 years after snapping 2 pairs of vw ones, cheap off eBay too

Thanks for the ideas, folks; really appreciated. Might go the Ford route.....
