Hi all im finishing the painting on the van the weekend :D . So i can now start to put the windows back in. Its a converted panel van so the side ones are not a problem . However the windscreen im not so sure about as i have a new seal and dont want screwdriver marks in it  .Does any one have any tips please.

see if u have windscreen cover on your insurance phone em and ell em its broke, done the same and got a lovely new pilkington glass screen and it dont affect your n.c.b. :msn4:

Was gonna do mine myself in the summer but bottled it and took it to an Independant windscreen place and they took the screen out, popped the new seal and trim on it and back on the van for about £40.
Gonna do it yourself then put the seal on the screen, run some cord around the seal with a bit left overhanging, put it in the hole[with cord on inside] and get someone to push/slap from the outside while you slowly pull the cord out from inside and work you way round and hopefully the seal will pull over nicely.

^^^ What they all said. I had a very good friend of a friend put my glass in for me after much wrestling and a bit of blood letting ( me ). He made me look such a pee lock with the ease that he put it in with just a little assistance. Some things we can do just a little slower than a pro, other things do need the pro touch. After all , it`s your bus, and you don`t want it leaking. Don`t get me wrong, I`ll tackle anything. I did, I got f**cked up and then I got a pro in.

Ozziedog, :? Just back from the pub

Thanks all looks like i should get a pro in too do it advise well given thanks

Hey Burt, don`t feel bad, there`s another chap posting with the same predicament as yours,  it`ll all be worth it when it`s done and you`re zooming down the road, and the glass stays in 8) 8) possibly the smartest thing I`ve done on my bus was getting that guy in to sort the glass.
