new floor and a change to the bed structure / setup, maybe a complete new interior but may put that on hold for a while.

Sunroof finally working-ish, so off for paint, hopefully all of the bus if I can afford it. Then a bit of sign writing, hopefully get the twin carbs on and the interior in. In between getting my 40 Ford back and hopefully getting it on the road this year. Apart from that, not much

Got some fiddly bits once it's back from having the door repaired: new accelerator pedal, brake and clutch pedal rubbers, window wider handles, sort the Scat quick shift, wire up the tacho and temp gauges, connect the heater including the broken pipe underneath, fit these new rims....

After refurbishing the pop top and canvas and the roof rack she is currently at the garage fully stripped and having body work done and then a lick of mango green and cream.

Then the real work starts!! On the road for Easter all being well

All the good bits for me :)
Just finished welding up this:

Which you've all probably seen before.

So, this winter is brakes, electrics, fuel tank, engine and gearbox. :) Oh, and a metric buttload of sanding!

Then hopefully Glastonbury in it. Hopefully.

Get the paint work on the roof sorted… oh wait that ones done
Fit a new full length headliner
Refit the interior as its out to the head liner
Fit the last two side window seals
Finish wiring up the leisure electrics
Source and build a new engine

So just a few jobs, most of which I need to get sorted before Volksworld Show, the rest before we go away in the summer

Finish what I started 4 years ago!!!

My god, that's so bad - 4 years!

Finally got paint on the bus so it's refurb bits and bobs, rebuild engine and put it all back in - deadline is end of March!!!

I started this 5 years ago! 99% new build, 2110cc with forged internals, its getting there just very slowly.

I got some plans :msn4:
Put it this way, I started by buying some wheels  and stripping down my spare engine, let's see what happens ............

Took it to the paint shop today!! :)

little update..
The roof as it came, some one got frisky with some sand paper and a grinder..

I'm going to get the sunroof panel blasted, but Chris at Chris' VW Emporium has been working his magic on the roof.. http://www.volkswagenemporium.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've got this to fix up, fit gearbox build an engine, fit the engine, get it lacquered, get it moted, get it registered....

Fix a few rust bubbles, engine out to fix oil cooler seal weep. New ported big valve heads coming soon, then new interior including R&R bed. Will need to be done in stages as planning a trip in mid March...

It was using some oil Gra. So once I proved the install worked it was always in my mind to rebuild it as it was of unknown history. Having new B&Ps, bearings, cam, guildes and some head work so I can fit twin 40IDFs via an AlfaSud inlet. All in all should make around 130bhp and 170lbft. and be super reliable. 8) also having 3rd and 4th gear changed in the 6rib box to aid cruising as well as a gearbox mount fitted a-la late bay to keep all that torque in check.
