I’m in the process of sorting interior ... vans stripped right down inside. I’m sound deafening and insulating ( silent coat and closed cell foam) then new ply ...
I will eventually have a leisure battery split etc , with a fridge behind the rhd drivers seat , also some lighting..
It makes sense to put some wiring in now I think to hide it nicely ... I’m doing speaker wire today ..
My question ... what gauge / type of wire should I run through to power lights/ fridge ?
I will have a pro to fit it but it would save a lot of hassle to have it in ready to connect ....there’s a hole in the near side rear wheel arch where I’m going to run it up from ... any advice to electrical novice appreciated!!

You see this really depends on the particular fridge you intend to install.. the gauge of wire will depend on the voltage of said fridge and distance from your battery. For example I have the CR50 so according to the manufactures instructions, running on 12v and 1.8m distance from the battery I required a wire of minimum 4mm cross section (fused), I'm sure if you already have your fridge this info should be in the instructions of if you've one in mind maybe download the PDF for it..
Hope my meager comment makes sense :)

Whilst it's easy I would run a chunky feed to a fuse box to use for distribution to the fridge and other 12v outlets. Maybe go for 6mm² so no worry about voltage drop or running too much through it and then you can choose the appropriate size for each appliance from the fuse box
