Wiring in original US camping 110v to UK spec

I have a 71 Westy and would love to recommission the original US power point on the side of the van to be compatible with UK camping plug. I don’t like the idea of fitting another one somewhere else as there is already provisions on that side.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

Yes, did mine as well and it's fine.
I routed the back into a standard camping RCD (3 plugs with a fuse trip) then 1 goes to my fridge, one to a inside double socket and third one is for a charger or extra fridge.
