There's a ball bearing and spring in the master cylinder outlets that provide residual pressure for drum brakes, just make sure that they're not blocked.
They are the parts that are arrowed where the brake pipe screws into,



if you unscrew them they look like this inside.

Off the top of my head I cannot remember,is it black and white split or diagonal split on buses

Heater pipes fitted with extension as initially they didn’t quite fit. Used stainless pipe and cut to size. Much better fit now.

Stripped and rebuilt master cylinder and residual pressure valves. Refit and bleed tomorrow.

After various attempts to get brakes to work I decided that new master and slaves were needed. Having tested as much as i could I think that the master cylinder was failing to hold pressure (degraded seal?)


Hopefully this little lot will sort it

I was trying to work out why there was a split in the carpet until I realised it’s the steering column
