i've seen guys on here selling what can only be described as scrap vans for 1k+ without a hint of criticism. so apart from the fact that the van is a bit of a cacophony of sheet metal and has no real indigenous value. it is, by present market buoyancy, worth 1k+ easily as an unfinished campervan with potential of becoming a useable van. albeit not a particularly aesthetic one. the owner is a bit delusional/optimistic about it's value, but there's a lot of that about nowadays?

i agree..the fact he`s asking 4k for a project and saying it only needs 300 quid worth of welding is where the satire is coming from i think...i was actually bidding as i want the engine, the axles, steering box, dash, etc etc and was prepared to pay what i thought it was worth....

Personally I think hes delusional and from what i gather having exchanged quite a few messages he got a bit stung with it and is trying to recoupe money, i think his best option would be to remove the reserve and allow it to find its level which isnearer the 1500 in its current state which will more than likely be broken down the non late parts sold off to the correct market ie the early 72 engine lid the cargo door abortion etc....

Are they early arches to match the 1970 build date? Can only assume the rear corners have been changed at some point?

If you look at the rear lights and compare it to a crossover you will see the panel on this bus is flat and has had later lights fitted as opposed to a crossover where the panel is sculptured to go around the light fittings. Its got cresent air vents but not sure why its on a narrow 5 set up as your info from the dvla would make it a wide 5 bus.
