got a slight leak from one of my rear brake cylinders, notice heritage do 2, repro at about £15 genuine at about £50, so is the repro really worth the extra??? has anyone had issues with the cheaper ones?????

would not accept that, as above phone insurer and complain, may be even take it to an independent bodyshop for an appraisal / quote to put right. believe all insurance repairs should be done with genuine parts where available, bet they quoted and invoiced genuine price to insurance co!!

Had a 2.5 t5 130 bhp, went like poo of a shovel, handled well, reliable it was not!!!! starting issues hot and cold, dual mass flywheel, knocking gearbox / driveshaft splines!! this had a full vw history , 2 owners , and 120k. it was an early one about 2005 but then I know of people with 2011...

I think that this is standard practice with most vehicle insurance now!!had it on a couple of different car policies the last couple of years.

think ive got one that came with my beetle somewhere, not a vw one tho, think its an AA one!!!
