History/Details:

Misty was bought by us back in 2010 and since then she’s been used for many camping/surfing trips with our family. We are the 3rd people to own her in her 14 year history. We have lovingly looked after her during this time and has had a proper service each year. She had a new timing belt when we bought her (112K) and since then we have replaced the exhaust system, had new tyres all round, the glow plugs were replaced last year, front and rear discs and pads replaced, front bushes replaced, gearbox shifter ball end replaced April 2014 and she has had a new battery. She runs extremely well and is really fun to drive. We have never had an issue with her starting or with driving her at any time. Even the alarm sings when leaving the lights on! (something which seems to be an issue with T4’s normally).

The interior was furnished by Streamline Campers back in 2011. This includes large storage spaces in the shape of X2 cupboards, X1 wardrobe and some under-seat storage. There is a 3/4 rock and roll bed finished in black auto-vinyl with X2 fixed shoulder seat-belts and there is a table fixing point in the floor. The optional table sits underneath the bed storage area when not in use. Inside is fully ply-lined and carpeted in grey automotive carpet. The cab area is very clean with new a CMS fitted cab carpet, X2 captain seats with drop down arm-rests which were recovered in black leather by TFI in Exeter last month. The passenger seat also has a swivel base courtesy of CMS, which again has just been fitted. Blackout curtains by 'Van X' are fitted to the inner windows and there are also 'Van X' blackout curtains fitted to screen off the cab area. She has a Sony stereo CD which has USB iPod control and speakers on the front facia of the rock and roll bed. Cab speakers in the dashboard were also upgraded from factory ones in 2012.

Exterior wise, she has no rust or issues with the bodywork as she was professionally resprayed in her original VW Indian Blue colour back in 2012 by 'Restohaus'. There is some rust on the side door floor rail (around 3.5 inches - see image) where it had been impacted from the underside prior to us purchasing her. This would be the only thing we had left to do. Not an expensive project, or one that compromises the bodywork or integrity of the van (you can only see it when you open the door fully) but it would be good to consider looking at it in the future as its the last niggle in this lovely vehicle. Both sides have smoked glass professionally fitted windows and the rear tail gate window is also smoked. Included is a pair of Thule roof bars which retail at £190.

I would encourage anyone genuinely interested in the van to come and look at her if you can. This is a genuine sale by genuine people and the only reason we are considering selling her is to finance another vehicle project that we have been offered. We've spent a lot of time and money on her over the past four years and she really does deserve to go to the right people/person who wants to enjoy her as much as we have.
