Changing from 009 to an svda dizzy with electronic ignition.
The carb has a larger main jet and the acc/pump has been set to max delivery while running the 009, my question is can I leave the carb as it is, or should I reset to original spec, ie; reset pump and go down a jet size?

You can leave it as it is, but it will probably be slightly more economical (every bit helps on a van!) set back to standard. Like most things, stock usually works the best.

Fitted the svda with electronic ignition and timed it up fine. Better but not fully removed the slight stumble.
It does run better and pulls well above 35mph but around 25/30mph it does not feel right. I note that the carb is covered in what looks like water droplets? I've adjusted the carb, and re ajusted but can't get it to run nice.
Thinking now that the carb is at fault.

Assuming its a stock carb - check the following.

Does the pre heat pipe from the exhaust (that runs along the inlet manifold) get hot?

Are you using a stock air filter? If so then check the warm air feed pipe that goes down through the tinware is in place and located on its pic up spout. Also check the flap that controls the aiflow between hot and cold air on the aircleaner is in place and functioning.

If those easy checks are all OK then look to the carb. First check the idle jet which is on the outside right hand side of the carb. Just take it out and make sure its clear/clean - its a very small jet size and tends to block easily.

If that still doesent fix it then you may have to remove and clean/check the carb/jets/float level/needle valve assy etc.
