1969 (For some crazy reason, this camper has a 71 style rim on the rear passenger axle????) but the Vin #, Tile and M plate are all 1969!!! This Westfalia Poptop Camper Van that had been painted in the Pointilist Style, with images from Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead and Tina Turner, the MajaRishni in his meditative yogi pose, to Native American Indians and Cowboys, this is curently a rolling, eye catching, people stopping camper van that will bring a lot of lot of attention if that's what you're after.
Artwork was done by a Northern California Artist over 10 years ago, I'll be posting a link to his name later today. Lots of original VW Booklets, It's first 40,000 miles appear to be serviced in Europe based on the numerous service history stamps.
Body is straight and solid, rockers look great, does not appear to be any rust in the battery tray or other side tray either!
Front lower driver nose area got a dent from hitting a small deer, you can see some of the paint damage but not too bad, can be touched up and matched by a decent artist. floors are good, interior is complete, even has the Westy Stool. Engine needs to be rebuilt, sitting in the back, looks to be complete. small dent in passenger rear corner as well. Obviously it is hard to tell exact body condition, but the rockers, rear trays, underneath and frame, front nose, doors opening and closing nicely, all appear to show this is a nice solid Westfalia Camper.
Poptop canvas is aftermarket with a tear in the bottom back but functional.
I sell complete rear Westy Vinyl covers that are a great match to originals, a new set can be included for 225 pounds.
