yep the sheperd in cov, just down the scotchill in her garage as its huge. I spoke to you at the diner as you knew my old bus that got burnt out at Holden Motors. This one was outside my house in Beduff but moved their to keep it safe while i take bits apart :)

spent the day making tow bar mounts took a bit longer than i thought it would but didnt have any plans so bit of trial and error but its fitted apart from electrics, will sort that next week,

bit more done today
got wiring sorted for tow bar, repainted some of the engine surrounding pannels, also made some plates to raise the rear seatbelts up so didnt interfere with the rear bench hinges or the spare wheel cover

shouldnt go anywhere as its 10mm thick plate with a stop welded to it to prevent it moving if any thing happened.

Nice and simple solution! I might copy it for my Westy if you don't mind.

not a problem,
with makeing them, just made sure with bolt in origional seatbelt hole that the stop rests on the window sill,
then welded stop on top and bottom so it shouldnt move at all

bit of a update

bought and fitted a fuel shut off tap from e-bay just running from coil at mo but will fit a kill switch soon

2012-04-05112736.jpg

also won a automatic fire extinguisher kit for £22 posted just waiting for it to turn up, then will fit that as well,
striped and replaced a gasket i didnt replace when rebuilding engine, and then had to make a new fuel pipe as that wouldnt seal again,
dont think it cured the minor oil leak i had think thats the crank seal will look into that another day.

had a look at installing cutain rails i got but broke all the 2mm drill bits so will have to get some more before carrying on with that.

whilst i was under bus noted that CV gaiters i fitted only 6months and about 1200 miles ago are allready starting to crack very disapointed with quallity, anyone else found that or is it just me.

dont know weather to hook it to electric fuel valve or have a light in the dash?
looks like it can be wired iether N/O or N/C on electric side.

will have to stop buying things as need to eat for the rest of the month lol
then again could do with going on a diet again.

cheers Pete

well wasnt able to get to techenders this week end so did some work today,
rear brakes were allways geting hot but not front so bought and fitted a new master cylinder,
didnt get the one with the one way valves just a standard one, and it dont half make a differance with the brake operation,

also fitted engine bay fire extingusher
wired it to electric fuel shut off valve so if it activates it shopuld shut of fuel as well?
