well this particular engine was a 150bh turbo engine but was fitted with two carbs when i got it so will only produce about 80bh but should be pleanty for moving a bus about,

it certanly seems to have a good pick up from standing but i dont intend to be takeing it down a drag strip just like having something differant and i think there are only 1 or 2 more converted in the UK

havnt had a problem with getting parts for engine there all on the web just have to come from USA,
what i havnt got i've made myself,

cheers

Glad you like it! Currently rebuilding mine

glad to see another bus with a Corvair, whats up with yours?, if you need any tech advice have you used the Corvair Forum there very helpfull,
hows your rear suspention sit with the extra weight,
only just got mine moving, havnt had a chance to drive it properly yet, very soon

just finishing bits to get it through a UK MOT,
cheers

The only issue I have with the rear is that the engine mount sits so low. Other than that I am on stock suspension (plan on slamming) and it rides great.

looking at your photos it looks the same set up as mine, im makeing engine pannels at the mo to seal engine in to allow for full air flow through engine and not around it,

bus back together now

number plates turned up friday so early trip to work and fitted them on sat, to try and get back before my partner came home from a night shift, but sods law she got out on time for a change and beat me home, so had a few small trips around the weekend and a test of the suspention with a trip to the supermarket, 4 adults, one kid, pushchair and all the shopping,
takeing it easy at mo as got to run the new rings in and to get use to it, still dont have a name apart from the mistress,
just fits in parking space at my house so all tucked up under a jk cover ready to have a few more plays with next weekend. (daughters house decorating permitting)

cheers Peter
