Hi I already have a set of transporterhaus flipped balljiont spindles, & am looking at getting a 4" narrowed beam to fit them to, I have been advised that I will need modified lower arms because of relocated shock absorber position, these are offered on an exchange basis from the beam supplier, but the lower arms are part of the dropped spindles assembly, do I need them ??

Yes you will do to bring the shock into a vertical position and avoid any collisions between shock mount and beam end plate.

Speak to transporterhaus and exchange them for a modded set. He does them in a surcharge basis and does it the correct vw way by drilling and pinning a stud in place rather than using tapping and bolts which pull the threads over a period of time
