69 Microbus needs Goods Vehicle Test Certificate

I got a tax disc renewal reminder a couple of weeks ago and it states that from 01/10/2009 that the vehicle will require a Goods Vehicle Test Certificate.
This can't be right can it?

Has anyone else had this problem with their van? If so did you manage to sort it out?

I had no problems with my tax renewal for september.
What is it classed as on your v5?
Is it an import?
is it currently tax exempt?

Is it a 9 seater as if so it may be classed as a minibus, (over 8 seats) and therefore needs testing as a minibus?

what graham says makes sense but i have heard that next year crewcabs all makes will become class 7 but vosa hasnt released a special notice for this yet

Hi Guys,
It is only an 8 seater but I've checked the V5 and it says it's a 2 axle rigid body. I think I will have to phone the dvla.
Luckily it ws mot'ed last week so I have plenty of time to sort it out.
