My Bus never fails to impress me, this weekend me and the missus went to Grill-n-Chill, fully loaded up to trade over the weekend. Bus didnt miss a beat on the 2hr journey, plodded along at 60-65mph absolutely slammed on the floor with all my stock, gazebo, camping stuff etc inside. No complaints nothing, well impressed :D

Not had chance to do any work to the Bus as we've just moved to Norfolk, i have extended the garage though so i can get it in over winter and crack on with some work on it :D

Finally bit the bullet and cracked on with stripping the front. Accident damage from its life in South Africa and a crappy repair had led to filler coming loose and bubbling up.

Part way through

Even extended behind the bumper

All stripped right back, theres no real rot just a few holes that need blobbing up with weld where theyve used a slide hammer. The lower panel is rippled to buggery in one place so i may just whip that out and replace

Finished for the night with some etch primer

Awesome work,

can I ask what timber you used for your interior? Loving it 8)

cheers buddy, its oak (i think) faced MDF, it was £60 a sheet but i planned it out and got it all from just one sheet

Love the table. The more multi-purpose things in a camper can be the more satisfying they are. Great standard of work. :)

Thanks for the comments, once the front is repaired im wondering whether to paint the bumpers or leave them with patina?????? :?

Cut out the rot and crumpled panel

All painted, without my 3phase sorted in the garage ive had to paint it with cans, not ideal but it'll get more paint from a gun later in the year :msn4:

The front panel hasnt been restored to be immaculate, just to be sound and rot free. The van has loads of little dents and scuffs all over it, each tells a tale and i was keen to preserve this so there are still small dents to the front but i like it :?
