First off happy new year all.
secondly i hate the wind in holland, went to Amsterdam for new years had a good time over there until i drove back yesterday. i had plenty of unexpected lane changes and on top of that i had problems with my roof. it is an old devon i think but unfortunatly it does not sit on the van roof properly and has a slight gap in the front. which is not good at all.
so whilst driving along, a gust of wind pushed the roof up and broke the 4 staps that hold it down. everytime a truck passed me the roof tried to pop up. i had tied the roof down and but still the wind was getting in and tried to push the roof up continuously.
I evently found a service staion bought some duck tape and sealed the poptop to the roof of the van so no more wind could get in and immediatly the driving was better. I have had a look and it doesnt seem like i can get the roof to sit flap so will now have to look for a replacement roof.
I love the look of the dormobile roof or the westy roof, so if anyone knows of a roof going spare please give me a shout.
