Depends on which type it is. The original ones were retained by a spring that sits in a notch machined in the middle of the pin and the later ones, often fitted as a replacement, are retained by a circlip at each end. To remove the early type, just flex the spring until it clears the notch and push (drift!!!) the pin out. Later type remove circlips and do the same.
