Battery recomendations

I’m after info on what batteries everyone uses?

Just needs to start bus and run minor electrics.

Bus is running a twin port 1600 with alternator.

You don't need anything fancy like an AGM battery. The charging system is basic and more suited to standard batteries. Varta, Banner, Exide, Lucas are quality makes. Bosch are rebadged Varta, Halfords rebadged Lucas have the benefit of warranty replacement at any Halfords store if needed.

We have one of these installed as our main starter battery. Worked perfectly well with the old 1600 and also has no issues with the Subaru lump.

Probably a little bit of overkill but didn’t want to run out of power

Biggest battery killer is when you forget to charge it over winter and then steady radio drain flattens it whether it's budget or pro.
If you have a leisure battery and no major starting issues then don't go huge on the battery - its all extra weight and monies.

I just use the recommended 038 one bosch and its more than enough for engine, and radio, few basics.
