Hi,

Does anyone know if this battery would be suitable for a 71 bus:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/c...ry/063-car-batteries/?444770637&0&cc5_993&awc

It's on offer at £35 with a discount code (CRAZY30). I believe this is the minimum power rated battery for a bus but can anyone confirm. I have a second leisure battery so I would only require this one for starting which I believe doesn't require a heavy duty battery.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob.

065 is the correct battery for a bay
i've bought from ABS many times (direct & thru ebay same supplier but a bit cheaper)

...one point to consider is that your battery leads can reach the battery terminals.

Some batteries have +ve and -ve terminals reversed and this can makes a big difference to how the
battery fits. (you can't just turn the battery around as the clamps will be inaccessible between battery and rear panel)

This may be obvious - but caught me out with replacement leisure battery - which must have reversed terminals as on other side of engine bay.

Thanks guys - good point about the terminal positions - hadn't thought of that.

The £35 ebay battery looks like a good buy and with some more amsp too - I might take a punt on one of those. Anyone else got any epperience with that brand?

Thanks,

Rob.

We always fit 075's to ours and customers buses, has the terminals the right way around.
