In a bit of a dilema with this .. :?

Small holes under seal side rear window .. cleaned with wire brush on drill, whats left is solid and thick enough to weld ..

.. the question is do I weld fill these holes clean up and protect .. or cut it all out and replace ..

If im just being an idle bast then tell me! .. just torn what to do ..

cut it out :!: it will only rust again 1mm disc cutter to good metal make repair section and spray inside with weld throgh primer .drill hole in new panel and put in self tapping screw to hold with molegrips ,tack weld then carfully join up try to keep heat down to avoid distortion.you know it makes sence :!: good luck

two thoughts

1 holes at the top of the door means you have water inside the door means the job will get bigger once you start.
2 depends where you work, in the dry is one thing, but this close to winter I would not start a body job working outside, patch it now and do it properly next summer.
 
cheers dude ... the rust is under the window near the track cover ( non slider side ) ... its the old trapped water in the track cover guide one ..

.. and its a bit late to worry about working over winter! .. Ive commited now! .. :D
