Well there you go Bluenailsmen and others, possibly. Finally pictures of the new awning being used to it's max.šŸ˜ (offtrek)
It's taken a while but I think we are there now. The only downside to this arrangement is the fact that it will all have to be removed prior to winter so the cover can be put on.
Went away for the weekend to spend some time with our best friends.
Was so therapeutic and helped clear up some serious family shit.
Awning works so well, fortunately I picked up the 2.5m awning and just fits between the 2 roof racks.
Spent the weekend away at Slimbridge, remembering the last time we were there, I SPY ozzie :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, anyway was nice to go back and see what I could'nt remember. Sign of a good weekend.;) oh and the new battery worked out well.

Genius! Power steering upgrades are really amazing, a good kit and they make such a difference.

Took Boris out twice this weekend to get used to the power steering.
Just loving it, managed to reverse park at the beach front in one move..:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Had to stop for something, found the right spot. (obligatory pic).

The above picture just shows the weather this weekend, such a mixed bag of things.

Hope everyone had a good one.

Went on a walk to Lulworth Cove and only spotted this on our way out, maybe someone on this site?

Royal Naval Visitor on Sunday

And then Billy No Mates on Sunday evening when all the campers go back to work, to pay for the upkeep of the high tech machines.

Got lucky with the weather and only had slight drizzle on the way home, so packed up in the dry...BONUS.

Hope you all have a good week.
Keep well.

Popped out and replaced this squealer with a new one.
Got my second bout of COVID this last week.
Tiring and listless and a snotty nose, fortunately no loss of taste or smell.
Looking forward to DATC.

Take care all.

Managed to get some time on my mates ramp today.

1718475234599.png

Installed a solenoid in the petrol line to stop the constant flow to the carbs.

Found out that the reverse light is faulty due to the reverse switch being faulty, new one ordered.
Front right wheel bearing has gone again, has got to be the Chinese ...... that I had to install last time due to nothing else
available at the time.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Was going to install a rear anti roll bar kit, but it's a bit more involved than we thought so will be saved or sold for a later day.

Anyway, enjoy the weekend and stay safe you guys.

Popped down to Cornwall for the weekend to Mother Ivey's bay just outside Padstow.
Decided to see how much the bus does petrol consumption wise.
Total distance = 245 miles.
Total litres used = 60.25
Total gallons used = 13.25
Total cost = 86.46

Which works out to 18.49 mpg, and that is not that terrific. maybe the carbs need checking.
Still smell petrol when I stop after a trip even with the new solenoid installed.
Petrol is definitely coming from the shaft on the left hand carb. Still can not work out why this is happening.
Need to put a thinking cap on.

On the motorway/A-road you may have been getting 24-25, but as soon as you hit the hills in Cornwall the consumption goes right down. Mother Ivey's bay is lovely, went there for a number of years.

I would have thought you should be getting well over 20 something like 24-26mpg ? Has it got worse recently.
On another subject did I pass you in Lyme Regis on Friday?
šŸ˜€
Hi Mike,
Yes that was me picking up some Calamari for dinner. Eaten in the bus whilst driving down to Cornwall.
We live at the top of the hill just behind the roundabout where you go down to Charmouth.

As fallingoffalot said the hills and travelling at 65 to 70 mph all the way probably did not help.
I will try again over some shorter distances, and not as fast.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
