Never been before,I'm thinking of driving down sat morning with the kids and coming home the same day as we are meant to be going out somewhere that evening
Just a few questions,if I'm not camping either night can I just drive down and park in Madeira drive and have a wander
Or is the road closed off for ticket holders only? And you just need to find a space and pay to park elsewhere
And then are you allowed to have a look or is it a show that you have to pay to get into

To park your bus on Maderia Drive you need to have a ticket from the SSVC. You can still get these here: http://www.brightonbreeze.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You can park elsewhere in the city - the marina is a good option if you are just going for a few hours as it's free. Then you can wander along Maderia Drive for no cost as it's open to the public. It only costs to have a vehicle parked up.
It's a great event as there are LOADS of VWs. Pop by the EB line up and say hello!
It's worth arriving early as it get very busy on the way into Brighton.

thanks for that, I dont mind the paying bit but im not planning on staying all day or camping
I guess there will be loads of vws not parked on Maderia drive ,probably the seafront spaces are filled already by now anyway,I saw the camping prices on the booking but didnt see the day only parking price

Hi Matt. It's £40 in advance or £45 on the day if there are tickets left.
If you are only going for a few hours it would be best to park at the marina or on Marine Parade if you can find a space.
The organisers frown on people trying to move the vehicles out of Maderia Drive before the end of the day as the road is packed with people, it's really busy.
There will be VWs parked for the event all the way from the pier to the Marina along Maderia Drive, the whole road is closed for the event, there will be about 800(?)cars and buses!

Last year saw a van with booking number over 1100, if you park on main road and there were quite a few park as far away from town centre as your prepared to walk as its cheaper nearer town its about £15 for the day but half that further out.
Well worth going even if you dont get on the front
