Broken cooling fin

In a desperate attempt to remove my head involving a blow torch mallet and much pushing and pulling I managed to get it off along with the top of the outer most cooling fin on No1. Will this cause a cooling problem. I am hoping that because it is directly under the fan this will not be the case

I believe the Official Rules of Volkswagen Engagement read towit:

Everyone is allowed one broken cooling fin with no penalty invoked. Don't break number two however!

How many barrels and heads with missing fins that have still served a long and fruitful life, half the old engines I've had have had atleast one damaged fin, I wouldnt fret too much Bookwus's take on it sounds like good advice :lol:
