I haven't camped at any yet (planning to do so soon-ish), but try a search on this site

We've stayed at the shrubbery before during the Lyme Regis regatta. Nice and clean, but a bit far from the town if you're thinking of walking back after a couple of ciders. There is only a small number of pitches for tents (which is all we had at the time) the rest is full of caravans. Also very quiet at night (whether that's good depends on your requirements!).

Hi,
just thought id say dont go to caravan and camping site at Verwood (dorset), we stayed there not long ago, and to be honest it was pretty awful, its right on a very busy country round, the toilets and showers are very dated the info says its a fifteen minute walk to the village.....erm bollox, maybe if your legs are about thirty foot in length!!!, no pavements for most of the way, not fun when youve got a baby in a buggy and cars and trucks flying past,....... found the staff quite pleasant though, but all the rest of the campers were very snooty in there plastic palaces watching tv!!!!!.........i learnt a lesson there , im never going to a caravan and camping site again!!!

let me know if you find a good one round that way, cheers .............kev

we went down last year to corfe castle camping and caravaning site. nice little site. electric hook up and the couple that run it are nice as pie. facilts are nearly new as well. we will be back there again in two weeks.  not sure how far from lyme regis it is though

Recently stayed at Hook Farm campsite in Uplyme which is just outside of Lyme Regis (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), really nice site with friendly staff and there's a decent pub just down the road where I had one of the largest steaks that I have ever seen, I almost didn't finish it!

We stayed at Woodyhyde at corfe castle earlier this year. The nice thing about it was you could park up wherever you liked and make your own camp but I found the facilities there a bit lacking. Having said that it is very popular and friends who went there a couple of weeks ago couldn't get in.
O yes it's miles from Lyme Regis.
