Sorry if this has been asked before.
Can you fit a bay, tin top or other into a standard garage? Im guessing there would have to a degree of lowering going on to fit it in but not sure how much.
Any pictures would be a real help.

Don´t know the height of my garage yet (will measure tomorrow). But the tin top bay fitted in without engine and og height.

Hi i have a standard height pop top which would just fit under a up and over door with some help untill i changed the tyres.then i ripped off my sky light. The door lost out in the end hinged it on one side and fitted padlocks on the other no more problems.Even leave the front roof rack on

Mine westie fits in, but then again the roof stands at less the 6 ft

If they are lowered then theyll normally go in, the issue is closing the door. If its an up and over door you need the length to get the van past the space that the swingover uses.

when I first had my bay it was standard height, I had to put it right at the back of the garage and let the air out of the front tyres to close the up and over door. I used that as an excuse to lower it ;) I have since built an extension on the front of my garage with tall side hinged doors, I can now drive it in and out with the roofrack on :D

I placed an order for a higher than normal garage just five days before the old van was nicked! I then waited until settling on the new van and reactivated the order as I didn't know how high the bus would be (yes, way high as it happens slammedkustom!). I checked and even before lowering it'll fit in. The cost is a little more but well worth the ivestment, it'll be up by late November.

I've got a modestly lowered westie pop top (couple of inches) and it fits well in my garage with a generic up and over, though I did have to remove the rails inside when I jacked it up to remove the engine,

Though (and I still chuckle about this! ;) ) my brother had his bus slammed and it still wouldn't fit in his garage  - had to go and buy a roll up door for it, his issue was a home built garage - guess it depends on a "standard" size door, but is a great excuse to spend some cash on lowering...
