What year is your bus then? Is it a 69?

Also, in terms of fitting, I have some 15 inch narrow whitewalls, and wondering if these have a different sidewall profile to black tyres?

And Clem, it's not me being a wimp, my local independant tyre guy flatly refused to drop the van down on the 165 tyres he'd fitted

have you got the wheels fitted with tyres and your bus at home?

I'd be tempted to give it a go - a very very slow and gentle go, use a wind up jack, not a trolley jack so you can control the rate of decent and stop easily if needs be... the attitude of the wheel/hub changes and becomes more favourable as you lower it...

It'll be close, really really close, but you might just get away with it....

The Speedmaster Bus is a 67/68 bus Tim , proper early , is even on a "E" registration , , not sure if rear hub castings changed from 67-69 ,

Hope you get these badboys on , as i effin loves em

Oh and Clyde has just put Speedmasters on his westy which i think is a 68/69 , woth sending him a PM ??

Getting my arran sweater and buffers pipe out here, the Speedmaster bus was 'born' on the 25th August 1967. I remember this 'cos Tims gaff is about 10 miles from me, I bought my bus from him when he still owned said Speedmaster bus..... and primarily because I was born on the 25th August myself. :D
OK, the Speedmaster bus is in better shape than me, most certainly worth more than me, and arguably (though me mum would argue the point) somewhat better looking. I'm damn sure it's got less squeeks and groans than me, especially in the morning, but in fairness it is exactly two years newer than me

Sorry about going on a tangent, I'm a bit pissed and love these wheels sooooooooo much it hurts. Me want big time but also hope you get sorted fella. :D

Not properly discussed refunds with the seller, but will do it it comes to it

just a tip when you do if they get funny - under sale of goods act they are not obliged to refund for change of mind so admit nothing, if they advise or infer they are suitable for your intended use, and they did and they aren't, then you are fully entitled for refund ;)
