Can't open driver's door from outside...

Hi, so in the process of fixing my brakes, I seem to have locked myself out!

I can only open the drivers door from the inside. Is this easily fixable?

Haha, never mind, it seems to be working now after I locked and unlocked it with the key from the outside!

chances are that the tiny little spring in the door mech is broken, and yes its an easy fix - but also you can live without it (most of the time)

My MOT guy couldn't figure out how to unlock the door, and he failed the MOT because he wasn't able to access the seatbelt mounts :roll:

Mine was ok unless you tried to open the door when it was locked by pulling the trigger mech. After this it wouldn't unlock from the outside at all and had to be opened from the inside by using another door!
It was just a tiny spring inside the lock mech, the spring in both cab doors had gone. Very satisfying when I fixed these. :mrgreen:

I've got the same issue, good to know it's a simple fix.

Edit2: I found some at Schofields https://www.alanhschofield.com/ourparts/prod_3704645-Front-Door-Handle-Return-Spring-6063-211837215.html but these are for 60-63. Anyone know if they will fit?

I have these springs on my list to do list, I actually found them in the garage the other day when looking for something else.

Remind me, does the door card need to come off to remove the mechanism... I can’t remember, it was a quite some time ago when I reassembled the locks.

Those don’t look right these ones from C&C look like the ones I used.
