CB rotary fuel pump

Just a quick question, about the fuel filter that is included.
Is there a seal in the end that needs to be removed. I had a look down the end, and it looks sealed but it may just be a baffle of some sort. I can just about blow into it which suggests it isn't a "plug" which needs removing.

prob the end of filter paper :shock: if you can blow through it thats ok

This is a metal filter included, and the bit I can see is also metal.

took the rubber stoppers of each end and plumbed straight in, mine works fine.
