The 69 headlight US backings on my bus wont accept the UK H4 beam units I have brought off ebay.
The sidelight hits on the backing  . I now note that you can buy a pair of H4's complete from Just Kampers for under £40 rubs. Are these any good?
I know C&C can do the original 3 screw complete units for £70, should I go for these? or should I alter the US backings? I don't think it would be too hard to do, just need to knick a bit of metal out so the side light/terminals clear.
Any advice appreciated. :)

So what your saying is US spec reflectors are different?

All of the UK and Aussie reflectors I've worked with haven't been able to take modern H4 bulbs, although I think you can get halogen bulbs with the big round base that fits the stock reflectors.

I guess you could go for the complete 3 screw units, you'll need to change your lenses anyway to get a RHD beam pattern.

Personally I had a new front panel fitted so I got some clear late bay beam units from heritage (cool air also do them) that accept modern H4 bulbs (I got some of the ultra bright ones with the slightly chavvy blue tint lol ) I guess another option would be weld a couple of tabs into your headlamp bowls to allow you to fit late lights.

The difference with new reflectors and bright bulbs is incredible!
