so you are gonna run an in- excess of one ton bus with that in your tyre? aint all it says on the tin ! sometimes it will not work also ,many tyre repair Co"s will not attempt a repair on a tyre into which that stuff or similar products have been injected (with good reason) personally mate , ive never used any such product for reasons ive stated above thou ive read so very much as to why those products are duff, and even thinking about the science of it ? nope , i"m a "carry a spare and means to fit it" sort of guy> BUT as you may use it ?if so please post as to the effectiveness of product .cheers, steve

I still carry a spare but on the rare occasion it's unsafe to change it ( awkward location etc ) or maybe a double puncture... Thought it maybe worth £5 ... Never used it before but heard it mentioned on here a few times...

For Ninove??

Im trying to sort out a breakdown kit...
Might add this to the list.

It won`t take much space and you may or may not use it as a last resort. If it gets you out of the poo then you may have to scrap your tyre, it`s not a biggy. Take it, if you use it, then just think it`s just cost you a tyre maybe . If it gets you off a main road to somewhere safe,,,,,,,,,,,, then its perfect

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I got one

only had chance to use mine twice in 30 years of driving, and by the time i heard bang ssssssssss.... tyre was shot and 50 tins of that would'nt have helped ! so just carry a spare now.

I'll second that ^^^ for the rare occasion you might need it just to get you safe it's worth it's weight in gold, changing a flat on the offside while on a narrow hard shoulder in ****** weather with lorries whizzing close by ain't my cup of tea

(haven't got any alternative on my daily, it doesn't come with a spare only a tub of gloop and and a compressor :msn4: )

I had some tyre weld in a brand new Audi last year, no space saver, just a bottle of "glue". Bottle of ***** really, poured it in and it just poured straight out the hole, and still had to get the AA to take me to Kwik Fit for a new tyre. Total waste of time and money in my opinion.

I used to run a small independant tyre place a few years ago, so not up to speed with the very latest innovations. Have to say though, what I have seen lately is no better than the rubbish that was available then. If a carcass has a hole in the sidewall then it is scrap, full stop.
Should you have the smallest of punctures (from a screw etc) in the centre of the tread then there is a remote possibility that the crap in a can may get you to somewhere to get help,(which is not a proper repair) otherwise just forget it.
There is no substitute for a spare wheel/tyre of the correct specification, hence my carrying two different size spares on the roof rack.
:D

I always carry a spare and tools to change. But when I got a puncture on the m1
On a Saturday night in the pitch black I was dam glad I had some of this
Stuff to put in my wheel, I filled the tyre with it then called into the next services to pump the pressure up. It got me home which was a good hour and a half away.
The tyre company didn't seem too pissed with me for using it.
It took seconds to pump into the tyre and was a much better option than risking my life by changing the wheel on the side of the road.
I now always carry two tubes just in case, I will always carry my two spares ( each tyre size) and fit when safe to do so, this stuff is just a last resort to get you out of a nasty situation quickly.

In a dodgy spot I would just say bugger trying to save the tyre, drive slowly to a point where it is safe to change the wheel/tyre.
Each to there own, it's just that having changed lorry tyres at the side of the A1 with traffic whistling past at a minimum of 70mph at a mere 6 inches from my head I am a little reluctant to suggest to others that it is a good idea to do the same. I will not do the same now, whatever the money.

Says it all really, in a great many situations the tyre would be beyond repair by the time you have stopped.

I've got a tin of this and for a fiver it might just get you out the poo. ? for a 'get me off a busy road' tempory fix, then happy days.
