Clutch issue

Hi I removed the engine as had a few oil leaks from engine/gearbox...... I have fitted a new clutch cable and new leaver kit to gearbox and replaced the clutch release bearing.... Was diffent but assured by vw heratige it was correct.
The biting point is really high... Peddle right up, however I adjust it and noise coming from the bearing! Has anyone got any views on this or what I could try! Blooming thing :evil:

Do you have a pic of the new vs old release bearing?

This is mine - a converted late release bearing setup with integral clips



This is the standard early release bearing setup with separate spring clips

Have you adjusted it per the manual? Think the measurement is something like 10-20mm of free play at the pedal.

Remember to put the kink in the Bowden tube.
