Connecting rods??????

Im after a connrod for my 1970 1600cc sp motor, Code B engine (see in parts for sale and wanted).
Question is, are they all the same in the 1600 range?
Should i narrow my search down to people offering sp motor rods only (if anyone offers)?
Pre a specified age?

As ever help needed ASAP.

How to rebuild your VW engine book says all 1600 conrods are the same, but recommends balancing them if they are being replaced.

Itl have to go off to the engineers to have the little end replaced and machined to suit the gugeon pin im using.

you have to watch the weight of the rod if you get a single. the weight can very up to 100 grams either way.
