Anybody on here bought a creative seat bed? I've just tried fitting one in my '69 bus and it isnn't gonna fit :( . I emailed them first checking they fit bay windows before i bought one and was told they have sold them to customers with bays so they will fit?? The reason i went for one was because they look better than most others imo and wanted something with plenty of strength in. Basically if it is positioned as it should be so the seat can be mounted to the rear arches the seat will not convert into a bed as the back support fouls on the bulkhead. Pisses me off why say they'll fit when they dont :x . Anyway rant over someones gonna be getting a phonecall in the morning!!

johns fitted one in his bay, and ive just ordered one, so should fit okay

No matter which way i looked at it the thing wasn't fitting, for it to convert to a bed the mountings were 1" away from the arches, cheers for the link anyway but can't see from the pics what im doing wrong, maybe i've not put it together right, that said the bed that came isn't the same as the one pictured on there website or instructions??

send John a pm, im sure he will be able to tell you how they did it, then post up his answer, as i will be fitting mine in a few weeks

I've pm'd john so hopefully he'll have the answers. I'm sure the the design of mine is different to his, ive just took some pics so i'll have them up shortly if anyone else has fitted one. Seb

Right pics.

This is the seat frame pushed right up to the arches so you can bolt through to the arch as you can see it doesn't follow the curve of the arch that well anyway but this is on the recomended 18mm of flooring.

this is the mounting point notice there is still a gap even with it being pushed back as far as it will go.

In this position the seat will not turn into a bed as the backrest fouls on the bulkhead.

To enable the seat to turn into bed i've had to pull the whole frame forwards which increases the gap around the arch especially the point where it's supposed to be mounted.

So if anyone has fitted these in a bay then any info would be great although i reallly cant see them fitting which is a real shame because they work so well and have a great finish. Seb
