Evening all.

Just a quicky

Im going to be changing my foam dash for a metal one at some point and just wanted to know what they go for.
I had a look in the for sale section and couldnt find any.
The reason i havnt put an ask in that section is im on the bones of me arse at the mo so not looking to buy untill the winter when the van comes off the road.
Just getting my head round the ever lengthening list of bits to do!!!

I'm also gonna do this but I assumed the metal dash was underneath and needed taking out n spraying ?

I did just find this on web

£60 ain't to bad

Rich, there are no dashes for sale as I have the world supply in my garage

Not entirely true but if you look at my for sale thread you'd find that I was asking 15-45 for an early top (usable to excellent) and I had previously advertised metal dashes for £20-50 (cond depending)

If you want one, let me know the year and which hand drive and I'll see what I have; I only have lots of dashes as want to go RHD in my bus and prior to that LHD metal for a change.

68 I did see them but im after a lefty cheers :)

Shiplee Yeh i did think about that route but want to keep the original for if i ever sell my van.

Mattp Im after a good lefty but il have to get some money in the bank 1st.
Il get hold of you at some point via pm if thats ok? No sales in chat! :?

This isn't sales chat as I do not believe I have advertised any metal dashes (I really don't have any listed that are metal), it was just to say what I think they were worth have bought a few.

Right, back to chat and can anyone tell me the correct colours for painting the dash and dash top please

Non US/Canadian buses had body colour for the dash and black for the dash top up to 1970 MY, and then all black thereafter.

You cant do that easily ... the dash under the padding is vented, possibly for crash protection reasons(?), and so will require a lot of filling work first.

Correct.

I have seen people leave the slots in and paint and others that have welded and filled but what a waste of time, just buy a euro spec one
