Hi,

I have just bought two bunks which I believe were originally from a Devon Bay (Ebay purchase), they haven't come with covers or fittings which I will need to buy.

I'm not 100% how they should be fitted, could someone please advise me how they are fitted to the van and if possible post a few pictures to show the fittings and where they go in the bus.

Thanks.

Simmo

Nice set of reference pics there :D

yeah i had to take them so i know where it all goes when it goes back in :)

Thanks for the Pictures Johnny, looking at my Bunks I think I have a different type, struggling to attach pictures at the moment but mine have a think pole with the hooks on each end and then a thinner pole which fits somehow to the side of the van.

i couldn't say if these are Devon, they my be late devon or T25 bunks? My bunks are tapered to allow people below to walk the length of the bus wider at the end closest to the cab. The material was gingham so these may have been re-done at some stage.

From a late bay.

I've just recently dis-assembled one and took a load of pics for the new owner. Check the link it may help, but if all you have is the bunks then you're missing alot of important parts

Thanks for these, its clear that I have the wrong type to go with my roof frame, looks like its back to watching Ebay!

Cheers guys!

your roof frame springs are down the side like mine? you might be able to modify the late bunk to fit. The brackets to attach the non tubed side to the bus could be easily fabricated to hold the tube and the hangers should be easy to fix??

Sounds possible, I've got a Vehicle interior fitting company near me, might just bite the bullet and let them sort it, least that way I know my little princesses will be sleeping safe, cheers again Johnny!

i think its only two brackets each side, the bunk material is is fixed down the length of the outer side but it might be easier more secure to use some extra brackets and keep the pole?

good luck with it anyway.
