Hi there folks,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put my query but I thought it was best to consult the early bay oracle as I'm a little confused and many of you seem to have dormis  I'm just waiting on some number plates before I collect my '72 crossover Aussie campmobile into which i'm putting a '68 dormobile interior which is mainly in decent shape (apart from the wardrobe which fell over on the pavement whilst I was loading it all in the car, doh!). However, the facia panel under the seat/bed has been abused over the years with big cut outs for speakers and the edges of the ply have suffered so I'm going to make another panel and here's where I am confused......at the bottom of the panel there are some narrow slit-like cutouts with routed sections on the rear side. What the hell are these for as I can't think of any use for them and do I need to include them in my new facia do you think?!

Also, is there any way to soften up the corner edging trim on the wardrobe to make coaxing it back together a little easier?

Many thanks in advance for your help, can't wait to get my bay and hopefully get on here a bit more

The slits at the bottom are for heating vents?

Ruddy hell, that was quick  That makes perfect sense, I'm just racking my brains to remember if mine actually has the vents in the rear as I guess the Aussie bay's probably didn't need much in the way of heating (mine certainly didn't have heat exchangers when it arrived over here although it did have the heater tube and control cables fitted)! I'm almost hoping it doesn't as it means I'll have to comandeer Dad's milling machine which is probably buried under a mountain of junk!

Many thanks,

Olly
