Bought a weber progressive set up but need to drill the manifold for the servo take off, has anyone done this? what fittings are required and where can i get them from?
Is there an easier way, maybe use vacuum pipe off dizzy?

the left side inlet manifold has an extra bit of casting for you to drill & tap for servo conection
I did have one lying around , but now gone awol

You are a god send :D
Me and a mate where looking at the carb manifold, didn't think to look at the inlet manifolds.
Hopefully thats just made the job 10x times easier.
Is it better / easier to dropo the engine to change the manifolds or can they be done in -situ?

I removed & replaced the manifolds on my old van with engine fitted, probably easier & less cursing if you drop the engine though.
May as well replace the rubber manifold boots while you are at it.

Luckily the kit i've bought has already got new boots and twin port ends fitted, so (hopefully) its just a case of remove the complete manifold, refit new complete manifold (he says confidently :? )

Here's another spot. Similar to the one I pulled from a stock '71 at the wreckers.
