Hi Could anyone shed any light on replacing the CV boots ??? do i need to remove the gearbox to remove the drive shaft of can i undo the bolts and remove the shaft ???

I seem to have lots of loose bolts and the boots have split.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to remove the gearbox - there's enough play in the joints to drop them out. I took the gearbox end off first then the wheel end.

Replacing cv boots is a messy job- take the circlip off the end of the shaft and the joint should come off. May need light persuasion. Clean, re grease and build back up. Wear gloves and clothes you don't mind getting filthy!

I found this helpful first time I did it, it's of a T25 but near enough the same as a T2
