'early' 1968 bay dashboard?

Hey, im having a dilemma with my dash at the mo. I have a 1968 bus...

Serial number 014 527
Modelyear 1968
Planned production date August 31 ,1967

and starting to get bits ready to build up the front end again, been looking at my dash and it seems i have an all metal one? ive seen other 68's around with a black rubber bit on top but mines got an original dealer sticker on the metal face with the ash tray and glove box lid already fitted.. ill get a picture tomorrow but wondering if anyone else has an all metal dash or am i just being naive about something..

European buses have a body colour painted metal dash front and black painted dash top with a black padded lip where they join. From MY 1970 the metal dash fronts were painted black.
US/Canadian buses have a black padded dash front and lip and a black painted metal dash top.
