Let see this piece of ye olde history then!

The old boy aint in the best of shape - he's stripped out for some serious repairs - but I'd be happy to show some pictures when i get them uploaded somewhere.

I'll start a new thread of my resto of this historical vehicle (said tongue in cheek :D )

I first found out about earlybay.com because Grazy left a flyer thing under the wiper of my van. As i walked across budgens carpark i saw it from a distance and thought i had a parking ticket

Baron is too modest to mention some other facts.

Firstly he organised a DeLuxe lineup of earlybay buses at Vanfest that same year, and was looking to extend the informal group when he found earlybay.com.

Baron e-mailed me and I signed up. Looking at the mebers list I see I am listed as joining on that first day but also remember that there had been a problem and membership details got lost so those listed as joining on 5th Oct had actually signed up a week or two before. I am sure Baron should have been part of that first day grouping.

Mike earlybay was a smashing guy, a true visionary and one whom we are most grateful to I am sure. Without hiom we'd just be bay owners, I for one would n ot have anywhere near so many contacts in the VW scene and would have miseed out on a load of fun along the way.

For heaven's sake I was still using the JK forum back then!
