Earlybay's 72 Sierra Yellow Westy

As you may have seen on the main forum, I have at last after 3 years out of the scene, bought an Early Bay once more -its a Feb 72 crossover US import bought from Jono at Vintage Valley (highly recommended !)..

So, its a Sierra yellow pop-top Westy built Feb 72 - mostly original interior and OG paint ..imported last year from Sacramento, CA ... it has been standing around a while so main task is 'wake-up' work to get it through MOT,registered here ...

First, at Vintage Valley, still wearing spare on front panel ...

Bit of an unfortunate scrape down side door/rear panel ...but all OG paint ...should come up well ..

Back at EarlyBay base camp ...just fits in the garage !

the new arrival gets the once-over from the kids ..

Main jobs to do for MOT - change lights to RHD, new windscreen, general mechanical run-through ..

nice clean wheel arches to start with ..

..and pretty solid all round ..

nice period features .. 8-track stereo (the tuner panel flips inwards) .. anyone know if this would have been a dealer-fit ?

at last all the bits sorted, MOT, and registered - took it out for maiden run on British roads today !

Its amazing how well the original paint has come up with a T-Cut ..

Still has the scrape on one side, but Im leaving that for now ...
