Hi guys, i wonder if you could help me with wiring my remote oil cooler.
i am currently re-wiring my bus and fitting a remote MOCAL oil cooler under the bus. the fan comes on when the oil reaches a certain temp.
currently i have a relay box with the oil cooler which has a thermostat pin attached to it. you fit this pin inbetween the fins of the oil cooler to meaure the temperature. what i would like to do is to extend this wire so the relay box is inside the bus, but i am not sure whether i should. i beleive that the pin measures the temperature in terms of a resistance - once the resistance reaches a specific value, the fan will kick in.
My question is whether i can simply cut and extend these wires so i can put the relay box in my bus or are these special wires that shouldnt be lengthened due to changing the resistance calibration??????
Thanks in advance
p.s. i think herbie58 may have done the original wiring that i have for NellyBus. if you did mate any assistance to what you did would be very much appreciated.
