empi shifter problems

Hi all, got a trigger shifter and am having problems. bloody thing.

If i use the original base plate with the 3/8th spacer i can get 1,2,3,4 sweet but no reverse?

if i just use the spacer I cant get 1st easily and it goes into reverse without the trigger or when trying to get 2nd.

any suggestions other than bin the thing?

I don't blame you they are a piece of ****!

After messing with it for days now i laid it side by side with the original to compare and it quickly became clear that the trigger on the empi just wasnt working! there is a spring that pushes a metal clip up and it is supposed to clip into a ridge so it holds or stays there, this enables you to select reverse...well... it didnt move enough to reach the ridge so wouldn't lock out, therefore wouldn't select reverse. :evil:

Terrible - a big 0/10 for me and it will be wrapped up and sent back to C&C with the recommendation that they stop selling such *****. the original is back on and works like a dream
