hi all

well after a quick engine strip down just before big bang, i have found that the heads are cracked around the spark plug holes, also there is one valve that is well and truly buggered, and the barrels and pistons weren't in the best nick so may as well get these changed too.
so the question is were do i go about getting the best replacements parts.
also how much should the crank move in and out you can here a clicking as you pull but you cant see it move, as i've literally just stripped it not had time to do measurements etc yet.

cheers for any help

dave :)

Machine 7 currently have a TP Bundle off which is Heads, Barrels, Pistons for a 1600 for £399, a saving of £100 over the seperate bits together, its on page 2 of the bundle offers, free delivery as well on bits over £25

i would check with machine7 to see if the pistons are cast or forged with the bundle kits, if you choose to go down this route.

Personally, new engine. TES lumps start at £599 with a surcharge

very nice :) are the standard engines of good quality i think the silver or green range maybe the way to go :D

Got a silver in mine, not 100% oil tight but overall are a good motor
