Engine valance

I’ve painted in the engine bay where the six valance screws or bolts attach. Three each side.
I’m just wondering if anyone puts anything between the actual valance and the fixing points like some sort of foam lining or other stuff.
There is a thin foam like strip behind the firewall where it attaches to the frame around the petrol tank cubby hole, so I thought it may be appropriate under the engine valance to stop scraping off the new paint ?

Hi Mate nope doesn’t have any protection!

Suppose you could use something local like tape once the paint is super dry and hard.

I use 25mm self adhesive neoprene tape it great for lots of things

Thanks guys. I might give the tape a go. It’s closed cell foam so won’t soak up water. [emoji106]
