My 1970 Bay has just failed its MOT on a few bits, One of them welding on the front chassis 
. A small chassis rail comes from the front corner then meets the main chassis rail, Well right up in that V corner bit its rotten ! I can get to it with the screw driver but theres no way i can get the welder gun in there ?
I thinking of taking the front wheel off then cutting out a square on the outside of the chassis rail then repairing the rot from the inside of the rail then replacing the outer chassis with a plate !!! :? Anyone out there ever had to repair this area and does my plan seem ok or is there a better way of doing this repair ???
