So started work replacing my sill on the westy. Unfortunately one job led to another.

1) Cut off old sill (rear infront of the rear wheel arch) DONE
2) Shape New Panel to Fit DONE
3) Remove Sliding door to help weld new Panel in PROBLEMS START
4) Remove Sliding door Cover panel WHAT A PAIN! It was seized solid and the plastic trim wouldn't come out
5) Remove Rear Window (So as I didn't break it)

After all this, I then discovered how the cover panel should come off!!! However, it was completely seized so a slightly damaged cover panel wasn't to bad.

Thankfully, under the rear side window, there is just one small hole, not bad for 38 year old van. I need to get some metal now and fill the hole, fill and paint.

Not sure if I'll get it all done before the end of the month now either!!?!?!?

Anyone got a spare RHD Sliding door Cover??
